Wine Spectator Notes
Racy and invigorating in feel, with dried chamomile flower and lime zest notes leading the way, backed by vibrant anise, fennel, white peach, salted butter and quinine notes. Picks up a touch of golden raisin on the superlong finish. Drink now through 2018.
Wine Advocate Notes
This brilliant white Hermitage from the top of the granite dome of this appellation offers notes of roasted hazelnuts, nectarine oil, citrus, quince and crushed rocks. Astonishingly full-bodied and rich, particularly in view of the vintage conditions, it is exceeded in quality ever so slightly by the two white Hermitages that follow.
Yellow-gold. Intensely perfumed aromas of poached pear, tropical fruits, honey and baking spices, with exotic iodine and licorice notes that expand with air. Lush and creamy in texture, with deep mango and pear nectar flavors and a refreshing jolt of zesty citrus fruits adding lift. The iodine note repeats on a long, sappy, penetrating finish.
